Hollybrook House is a large Victorian property situated on a quiet, tree-lined avenue in a suburb of Doncaster. Furnished to a high standard, it provides a spacious and comfortable home for six adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. All six bedrooms have en suite facilities and the people we support are encouraged to choose their own decoration. There is ample communal space within both the home and garden for everyone to sit, relax and enjoy spending quality time together.
Our main focus is to promote a positive, homely environment in which each person feels supported to pursue their interests and achieve their goals. We have an ongoing commitment to develop independence and move individuals along their own care pathway with the aim that, ultimately, they might be able to move into their own flat or shared house with their own tenancy agreement.
Doncaster town centre is only ten minutes’ walk away and boasts the Frenchgate Centre, shops, bars, nightclubs, food outlets and other attractions. Also within walking distance or a short bus ride are Doncaster Racecourse, Lakeside shopping complex and the Dome Leisure Complex, with bowling alley, multiplex cinema, ice rink and swimming pools. We have our own people carrier for longer outings and holidays.
All members of the care team are carefully selected for their wide variety of skills, knowledge and experiences, both in life and in their chosen career. Only after all recruitment checks have been successfully completed will a new member join us and then training is ongoing, with each team member continuing to develop their skills following best practice guidance.
We are committed to working in a proactive manner and seek to create a standard of support that is outcome-focused, person-centred and ensures respect and dignity for all.
